TO QUALIFY: You must be willing to reside in Central Michigan (relocation is paid) and have at least ten years in plastics or metals manufacturing operations/engineering.
Our firm has been retained to fill a newly created and very unique position in manufacturing. Our client is the lead business unit of a US based, 12BB+ North American building Materials and building products manufacturing organization. Headquartered near Saginaw Bay, MI, the business unit is a thirteen plant division that was acquired several years ago. The unit has always been able to meet production demands, but the organization wants to invest in the newest automation technologies, to include those that use AI. They now seek a maintenance or engineering leader who and guide them and advise on this next phase of their growth. In addition to improving SOPs and programs that are predictive and preventive, you will take the lead in automation upgrades. This includes visiting vendor sites to personally analyze the equipment. Ultimately, you will lead the CAPX process around the automation and upgrades.

• This is a headquarters based positioned reporting to the North American Vice President of Manufacturing.
